Ukrainian agency calls for international support with heartbreaking warzone film

Ukrainian creative agency Banda has made a hard-hitting film showing some of the devastating scenes that the country is currently facing as it continues to fight back against Vladimir Putin and his invasion of their nation.

Coming directly from the warzone, the #StandWithUkraine video calls on the international community to give as much support as possible by sharing its message far and wide across social media using the hashtag.

“Ukraine is now and now is special,” the film’s narrator explains. Images of tanks, molotov cocktails and people in metro stations pop up on the screen as the voiceover continues: “It’s a turning point. There can’t be another now. You can hear it. You can see it. You can feel it.”

The film is an ode to the resilience of the Ukrainian people who have fought against the Russian army since its invasion on February 24, and their refusal to surrender.

The narrative concludes: “Now is not about words. It’s about actions. About people who are ready to take action. Ukraine now is all of us.“

In the week since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, ad agency networks with offices and staff in the country have been keeping a close eye on the war. Here’s how they are responding.
