Trip.com’s International Women’s Day campaign rewards migrant domestic workers in Singapore

These women are the unsung heroes who play an important role in supporting Singapore families

Trip.com is rewarding female migrant domestic workers (MDWs) in Singapore ahead of International Women’s Day 2022.

As part of its ’Pay It Forward’ campaign, the platform has joined forces with Singapore-based Mount Faber Leisure Group and the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (Home) to gift female MDWs with 200 passes for the Cable Car Sky Network.

The public will also be invited to donate the Cable Car Sky Passes in support of the cause. The total number of tickets secured at the end of the campaign will be distributed by Home, an organization dedicated to the welfare, empowerment and advocacy of MDWs.

“International Women’s Day not only allows us to celebrate the achievements of women, but also provides a platform for us to raise awareness of different groups of underprivileged women in society and rally our stakeholders to support them,” said Ru Yi, the regional general manager at Trip.com.

“We are extremely pleased to collaborate with Mount Faber Leisure Group and Home on this campaign to secure tickets for these deserving, hardworking women to enjoy the Singapore Cable Car. These women are the unsung heroes who play an important role in supporting Singapore families.

“We’ve seen and deeply appreciate the amazing generosity and care that Singaporeans have shown for those in need in previous iterations of Trip.com’s ’Pay It Forward’ campaign by donating their SingapoRediscovers Vouchers and we humbly seek their continued generosity for this initiative. Going forward, Trip.com will continue to identify ways to support the less privileged members of our society.”
