In a bid to promote its streaming service, Paramount+ has enlisted a whole host of the network’s familiar faces in its new campaign, including South Park’s Eric Cartman and Butt-Head from Beavis and Butt-Head, alongside Halo’s Master Chief character.
The short spot, created by agency partner Droga5, sees the human and animated stars all gather on Mount Paramount where they get cozy around the fire to hum the theme song from the video game Halo, which is expected to land as a live-action TV series on the platform this March.
‘Paramount Mountain’ will be shown during high-profile events including the Winter Olympics and the Grammys, as well as popular TV shows such as American Idol and The Walking Dead.
Fans of the game have been excited by the news, reacting online to seeing the Master Chief character, who will be portrayed by Pablo Schreiber, in action.
The official trailer for the upcoming Halo TV show aired during half-time at the AFC Championship Game on CBS and Paramount+ to Xbox fans’ delight.
